From Vicki:
On Saturday Ann Garback and Elf, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, took the High in Trial honors from the Open class. She and Elf did a lovely job of showing and the award was well deserved.
UPDATE: Kingsley also had a successful weekend. He earned his U-CD at the trial!
Also showing in Open was Vicki Wilson and her Sheltie, Tag. He placed 4th in the class.
Showing in the Novice B class was Susan Boswell and her two Doxies, Andi and Tess, and her Papillon, Lily. All three of her dogs qualified with Tess tieing for first place. What a lovely performance Miss Tess had as she and Susan floated around the ring.
Pat White and Corey, Std. Schnauzer, also had a good day on Saturday. Christine Ferron and Jackie, Corgi, showed as did Toi and Ariel, Border Collie. Rigatoni, Basset Hound, belonging to Bill and Nita Burns showed in Novice, qualified, and finished their Novice title. Nita and Rigs did a super job.
Sunday was a beautiful day to have a show. The weather was great and the dogs were ready. Vicki Wilson and Tag, Sheltie, took 2nd place out of the Open class. Not to be out done, Vicki’s other Sheltie, Audie, took the High in Trial honors out of Novice. What a thrill this was for Vicki. Also showing in Novice was Terri Fridley, and her Sheltie, Jed. They took 2nd place with an absolutely beautiful performance. Susan Boswell again showed three dogs and qualified with all three! These shows were the first time in the ring for both Andi and Lily. Tess showed off her heeling talent and tied for 3rd place. To have 2 placements and 6 qualifying scores in two days is a tremendous accomplishment!
Christine Ferron and her Corgi, Jackie, showed in Novice A and took 1st place with a very nice score. They were a great team. Jackie Barron (for whom Jackie, Corgi, is named) brought Mister and Towa to the show. Mister is our Mascot and he had the whole room rooting for him. His tail never quit wagging as he smiled and laughed his way through the exercises.
We all had a great time at these shows and encourage everyone to attend them in November.

From Laurel:
Just wanted to report on Brandy’s High In Trial which she earned at the GCA Southern Specialty in Ft. Worth. She earned first place and HIT from the Open B class. She did, however, flunk Utility A.
Also, my Cinder who is enrolled at West Mesa, won her 6-9 mo. Puppy Sweepstakes Class in conformation.
Twister took 3rd in the Champions stake at the lure coursing. He blew his retrieves in Open A, darn it.
Congrats Laurel and all the fast dogs with her!

Lynn and Vicki Wilson have a new puppy. He is a Belgian Malinois (mal-n-wa) named Ryder. He is settling in and has lost all company manners! Lynn has already taken him tracking and I am teaching him some beginning manners. We are really enjoying him!
Cathy Robb has a new Collie puppy. His name is Ki and Cathy is thrilled with him.
Kathy Espey has a new Bouvier puppy out of Kathy’s beloved Louie, Bouvier. She is adorable.
