From Jeff Robb comes some sad news:

We have some very sad news. We had to put Chelsea to sleep today. She had been failing fast for the last few months. This morning she awoke around 6:00 and could not walk or even stand. She was scared and confused. Our vet came out on a Sunday to take care of her for us.

She was such a wonderful collie, not the brightest, but so devoted and gentle. She would have done anything Cathy asked her. She loved Ki (the puppy), so much. He was the puppy she could never had and looked for for the past 10 yrs. She spent her last few hrs with him with his head on her shoulder.

She isn’t suffering any longer, and has gone to join Cisco to run in the green fields forever.

Our hearts go out to Jeff and Cathy.

Kingsley did well at ASCA today.  He took second in Open B for his second CDX leg.  He  missed HIT by one point because his handler gave him a utility command on his recall. I said ‘move around’ as I moved my arm in a perfect finish signal. He just pretended that was the usual command but the judge didn’t buy it  .    Jeff took first and if we had to lose HIT we are glad it was to a CKCS–Carol’s Wizard.
