Jacque sent a good article about putting together a dog first aid kit. It’s up on the website under News. Or you can click on the link below to get to it.
Thought I’d test using images and I found the perfect subjects. Cute little puppies new to the school. Foster is Ellen’s new puppy and Bella is Bonnie’s new puppy.

Ellen and I did this a while back but haven’t had a way to subject you poor souls to the artistically challenged document that we created. But now that we have this unique forum, I’ve put the PDF file up online. (under newsletters then Tidbits)
Foster’s breeder sent us an article about algae blooms in fresh water lakes, ponds etc. It’s eye opening and has lots of information about toxic algae blooms and how they affect dogs AND humans. While the particular instance occurred in Michigan, it’s something to be aware of for those of us that have dogs that love the water.
I put up the entire posting (from an ACD list) online (under news then Announcements):
From Susan Boswell:
I have been in contact with the City regarding a Multiple Companion Animal Site Permit.
You can have up to 15(!) companion animals, 4 of which can be intact.
You fill out their form – type of animal, gender, age, color, name, rabies vaccine date, city license number and expiration date of that license and send in $25 per year.
That is it.
So maybe all of those worried about the HEART ordinance should consider getting your dogs certified as companion dogs. Unless the fees for the companion dog are exclusive from the license fees covered by the HEART ordinance.
